odwalla

Happy paint party Friday!
I'm showing a few more pages in my art journal, I showed afew yesterday if you missed them....
These first two are me trying to avoid the all or nothing thing I do with sugar. If I have any I figure I've blown it and just keep eating. So, like my word for the year, I'm trying to achieve Balance and not give up just because I forgot to have my green smoothie. The art is from an odwalla label, I get them in case I run out of time to make the smoothie, I can still grab one of these to take to work!

The next photos are actually of the front cover. Effywild, in her video for the book of days, showed making pockets and slipping in a letter to 2011, so that's what I did. I reworked a beautiful Christmas card I received for the pocket, and the letter. Effywild also made a secret pocket for a letter to 2012 which I didn't do.
See you all next week!
Thanks for visiting!

  10. These are delicious illustrations - the colours are wonderful - especially one the first picture. I can so totally relate to the all or nothing approach - I am exactly the same, nothing in moderation for me (except exercise, funny enough, I'm great at moderating that or just not doing any at all!)

  16. Balance is soooo far out of reach for me... so can't wait to see how you handle it... I am going for embrace... figure if I can just jump in at everything that comes my way it can't all be bad can it... embrace the chaos and you can have my balance... love your pages and would like to sit down and have a good old flick through those pages... happy ppf xx

Love you pages. I want to do an altered book - I am seeing so many on the postcard challenge. I've not quite got around to making my book... just my card.. Hmmm decisions decisions...

  26. lovely to see your art and hear of your sugarfree desire. i did that once for a month, even staying away from sweet fruits and potatoes. I felt very grounded and calm with no sugar in me. I think maybe no caffeine also.
